Project Description
Engineered a custom Discord bot and interactive web dashboard system for NC Sports Hub, a sports community based in North Carolina, USA. The client possessed an active Discord server of over 600 members but struggled to drive engagement. I built a bot to track community activity and a Next.js dashboard featuring live match stats, leaderboard streaks, and a member-exclusive portal to their pre-existing Shopify storefront.
Solution Offered
Implemented the custom Discord bot using Discord.js to compile fan metrics and hosted the system on AWS EC2 and RDS. Built a Next.js dashboard that authorizes users by validating their Discord server membership, redirecting non-members to join the community. Configured an in-memory queue to handle large-scale database updates periodically, and integrated their pre-existing Shopify storefront for official merchandise sales.

Developed a Next.js dashboard featuring live standings and game schedules for major leagues (AFL, NFL, NHL, MLS, NBA).
Configured AWS EC2 and RDS database infrastructure, implementing a custom in-memory update queue to process large data loads periodically.
Designed discord-membership-locked authentication redirects, ensuring the dashboard and connected Shopify store remain exclusive to verified community fans.
